This past week end I attended the Old Time Music and Ozark Heritage festival in West Plains MO. I had the Feb 14th guitar and an OM and several dulcimers displayed.

I got some exellent reviews for some of the larger fish in this small puddle we call the Ozarks folk community. Moon Mullins ,national and international tuumb picking contest winner, particularrly liked the OM.

The higlight of the weekend however was yesterday afternoon.Jim a d Kim landsford stoped by my booth and Jim played both guitars and look them over with a very critical eye. Aferward he told me that he had worked for a luthier named Mosley or Mosby(I'm not very good with names)some twenty years ago before he went full time into music.

To make a long story short, He has two sets of BRW that had been in this luthiers personal stash since the 1960s matched with Andi tops. He was always going to build a couple of guitars from them but with thier schedual it hasn't hapened. He asked for a quote to build these guitars for him.

Coming from a man who makes his living with his music and who has worked in the trade,I considered this high praise indeed.

They are schedualled to attend a folk festival in Holland this fall and he and Kim are devoting thier resources to that trip now. He will get with me when they return.

Even if the deal never comes about,he made my day just by asking for the quote.

I have to buy a new hat today. The old one no longer fits. My head is that swollen.

Hey Cecil,

You gotta be happy with that mate, as you say, even if it never comes to anything it's all good. The positive feedback lets you know for sure that you are on the right track and that alone makes your trip and time worth the while.

Well done

Cheers

Kim

If a good musician plays a couple of your guitars, and then wants you to make him one. You are there. Right where the rest of us (who aren't there already) would like to be. Congrats dude.
